Almost 3,000 Bethany volunteers contribute to our mission of ending homelessness in Scotland. Whether it’s serving hot soup to people on the streets, supporting an individual on their recovery journey or helping in one of our shops, every role is vital.
It’s thanks to people like you that we’re able to reach individuals and families in their time of crisis and meet their long term needs.

Opportunities for under-18s
Helping people and strengthening communities so they are resilient to the causes of homelessness.
Retail volunteers are the foundation of our shops. We are looking for volunteers to support staff in the running of the shop and help us create a friendly and helpful environment for customers. Find out more.
Caring Christmas Trees is our social enterprise selling ethical and locally sourced Christmas trees. We are looking for volunteers to ensure the collection sites are safe, full of festive cheer, and to help customers to find their perfect Christmas tree. (Please note, this role requires a responsible adult, parent or carer present with anyone under-18) Find out more.
Due to the nature of our work, all of our volunteering opportunities require you to be 16 years old or over.
Jobs at Bethany
With around 200 staff there are a huge range of Bethany roles across the country, from supporting people in our emergency accommodation or community groups, to working in our shops or maintenance team. We are always looking for passionate people who want to make a difference.
