Pray with us this June
This month we are praying for Anne Hope House, our residential community for women who are homeless.
In 2024-25, 23% of women in Scotland cited violent domestic abuse as the cause of homelessness. Anne Hope House is a place of safety, support, inclusion, empowerment and recovery.
We pray for this community, and others like it, where women can find love, restoration and a chance to rebuild confidence after experiencing trauma.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
How to pray with us
Our goal for this calendar is to engage you, our supporters, with the wider contexts and challenges that people experiencing homelessness are facing in Scotland, and to provide statistically-informed prompts for your personal prayers.
Each month this year we have provided two prompts: Pray for Scotland and Pray for Bethany. As well as this, we aim to update our website with current prayer requests for the service or area that we are focusing on that month.
We hope these help to guide your prayers, both for Bethany and for the the nation.
Thank you for joining with us in prayer.
Prayer points this month
Please join us as we give thanks and pray for Bethany’s place in the national context this month.
We give thanks for a holiday for the residents happening in June. It is important to build new, happy, memories for the residents in a safe environment. Pray for good times, laughs and safety, especially whilst wild swimming and quad biking!
The majority of our residents have experienced domestic abuse, and it has had a massive effect on their self esteem and self worth. Pray they experience the love of Jesus through the staff team and find their true value and worth in Jesus, who gave Himself for them.
Pray that Anne Hope House becomes, and continues to be for some, a safe place where the residents feel comfortable sharing their life experiences in a way that brings healing and freedom.
We give thanks for supported accommodation available to our residents. Pray for night time when their hearts and minds race back to painful memories and life experiences. Pray for deep sleep, rest and true healing from their trauma.
