The sun was shining at this year’s Magnitude Festival and Events and Engagement Fundraiser, Rebecca Wright, was on the ground meeting with many inspiring young people and organisations throughout the week.
We haven’t kept count of how many people have come to the stall, but between us, we’ve probably spoken to a few hundred young people. We’ve also spoken to youth leaders, church leaders and representatives from other organisations and made some great connections!
Our team was thrilled to have been invited to be the Home Focus partner at Magnitude this year, with a platform to share to thousands of young people the impact their support can have on the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Scotland.
On Monday, we had at least 60+ young people at our seminar. Luke and Beth did an incredible job making it fun and engaging. Eve, Jax and Rachael were a great support, too
Tuesday was the Superhero Fun Run which was really fun. I think we had more than 100 sign-ups! There was a great buzz about it!
We also had Swarthick, our coordinator in Perth, arrive in the Perth Care Van on Tuesday evening to deliver hot drinks and discuss the regional work. We had “queues for days” and distributed more than 200 hot chocolates!
