The gift that restores hope, renews dignity
and helps build positive futures.

Winter is a challenging time. Whether you are seeking shelter and warmth, struggling with soaring bills, or battling with addiction, loneliness or poor mental health, this season can feel intensely cold and dark.

This is why we are asking you to give the gift of hope this Christmas.

Every Buy a Bed gift helps fund support for over 9,000 people from Glasgow to Aberdeen, Inverness to Dumfries, Stornoway to Edinburgh. Find out more about how your gift can help.

Together, we are working towards ending homelessness in Scotland, one person at a time.

What does hope look like?

Our vision, guided by compassion, dedication, and a commitment to practical love in action, focuses on ending homelessness in Scotland one person, one family, one community at a time.

We provide services that cater to the holistic needs and aspirations of the people we serve, culminating in real, transformative hope.

Bethany is reaching people across Scotland through:

preventing homelessness
meeting people in crisis
helping people sustain their own home

“Without Bethany, I would most likely not be here. I am looking forward to the future for the first time in a long time.”

Every donation towards Buy a Bed goes towards restoring hope, renewing dignity and building positive futures.

For every £25 you donate, you’ll also receive a special illustrated card that you can gift to friends or family. Give the gift of hope this Christmas.

How does my gift help?

Thanks to the generous support of over 4,000 donors over previous years, we have been able to establish and sustain the Welcome Centre in Edinburgh as a trusted and proven response to homelessness in the capital. This service is now fully funded this winter through a local authority contract.

Buy a Bed is no longer about just one bed for one night.

Now, every Buy a Bed gift helps fund support for over 9,000 people from Glasgow to Aberdeen, Inverness to Dumfries, Stornoway to Edinburgh.

Your gift will go towards our year-round work preventing homelessness, meeting people in crisis, and helping people sustain their own homes.

In previous years, the Buy a Bed campaign has directly funded our Rapid Re-accommodation Welcome Centre in Edinburgh. This year, thanks to local authority funding, each Buy a Bed donation can go towards supporting people in need all over the country. Thank you for your generosity.
