We are looking a Deputy Manager who will assist and act on behalf of the Manager in the oversight of the Edinburgh Welcome Centre.

Role

The Rapid Re-Accommodating Welcome Centre runs through the winter months for rough sleepers in Edinburgh. The Deputy Manager will support Welcome Centre Manager to maintain the Welcome Centre as a safe environment for guests and seek to support the team in all aspects of the service.

The Deputy Manager will provide administrative support and operational management to the staff and volunteers and work as part of a team operating a supportive working community.

You will bring proven leadership experience and have excellent communication skills. You will regularly visit the Welcome Centre and provide on call cover. Ideally you will have an SVQ4 in Health and Social Care/ Promoting independence.

This is a fixed term post with the potential to be made permanent with annually fluctuating hours.

As Bethany is a Christian organisation this post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with Equality Act 2010. Please note that one reference must be from your church minister or leader to endorse your live and active Christian faith and commitment. Successful applicants for this post will require membership of the PVG scheme.

Starting salary: £33,823 gross per annum pro rata
Full Time, Fixed Term (11.08.2025 to 24.05.2026)
Holiday entitlement: 225 hours per year pro rata
