Recovery Activities

A community-based support programme for people in or considering recovery from substance use

The service is part of a holistic recovery model, focusing on the social, physical wellbeing of each individual. Through informal, activity-based engagement, Aleks supports participants in:

  • Rediscovering purpose and joy in day-to-day life
  • Rebuilding self-esteem and motivation
  • Strengthening community connections
  • Establishing healthy routines and new interests
  • Creating healthy habits

Activities vary based on participant needs and interests but can include walks, gym visits, pool, table tennis, tennis, cycling , volunteering taster days, and more.

Who can join?

This service is for anyone aged 18 and over who is in or considering starting the recovery journey. Participants should be open to trying new things, engaging with others, and exploring what a substance-free lifestyle can look like through activity and connection.

Whether someone is just beginning their recovery journey or further along the path, Aleks offers tailored support to help them take positive steps forward.

As with all our services, Recovery Activities is open to people of all backgrounds.

How to join
