Clarification on Bethany and Edinburgh City Mission’s roles
In the event of occasional confusion between Bethany Christian Trust and Edinburgh City Mission regarding the Care Van, the two organisations work alongside each other to run this incredible ministry.
Edinburgh City Mission co-ordinate the evening care van shifts. Most of the volunteer teams stem from churches in and around Edinburgh.
Bethany Christian Trust co-ordinate the lunch time care van shifts. Most of the volunteers are individuals, along with church teams and corporate teams.
The van is located at the Bethany Christian Centre. Bethany also handle much of the administrative and operational side including insurance, van maintenance and soup payments.
