We have plenty of new updates from our Homelessness Prevention Team in Aberdeen which we want to share with you!

Firstly a big welcome to Stevie Stacy who joins Bethany as our Homelessness Prevention Coordinator North.

One of the biggest tasks our Aberdeen team has had was to hand out Emergency Packs around the Aberdeen area. From food to toiletries and cleaning products, with the help of volunteers such as Avia (photo taken pre-second lockdown) the operation ran with great success!

Despite lockdown restrictions, the Toastie Club, a service ran in partnership with Kings Community Church in Aberdeen which provides a weekly drop in for vulnerable and homeless people to get together and grab a bite to eat is still in regular contact with it’s users online and on the phone.

Other group run activities such as the Wellbeing Journey group have been able to head out on socially distanced walks again and new Zoom groups are appearing such as cooking classes run by our Toastie Club coordinator, Kam.

As we continue to expand our services in Aberdeen and Inverness we have also welcomed three new team members to Homelessness Prevention North.

We look forward to sharing more in the coming months!
