Steph Macleod with Celtic Worship and Friends Release a Charity Single for Bethany Christian Trust

Singer and worship leader Steph Macleod has created a powerful new arrangement combining Amazing Grace and He Is Lord, which will be released in a video premier on Friday the 11th of June in aid of Bethany Christian Trust.

The track was recorded in collaboration with Celtic Worship and over 40 other singers and musicians from churches, charities and organisations for the recent National Day of Prayer for Scotland.

The finished single will be distributed by Integrity Music, with proceeds going towards Bethany’s work supporting people who are homeless or facing homelessness across Scotland.

Steph Macleod has been a long standing supporter of Bethany, after he came back to faith and broke free from a period of homelessness and addiction with the help of Bethany Christian Centre in 2006. Hear more of Steph’s story in a video he shared at the Sleep Out in March on our Facebook page.

Alasdair Bennett, Chief Executive of Bethany Christian Trust said:

“We loved having the opportunity to participate in the National Day of Prayer organised by the National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland, and join in the recording of the ‘Song for the Nation’ as part of this. Amazing Grace is a hymn both of personal transformation and of being sustained in hard times with an enduring hope, and we see that lived out day after day in the lives of people we support across Scotland.

It was a surprise and a joy when Steph called to say that he would like to release this wonderful medley as a charity single for Bethany Christian Trust. We are really blessed to be the recipients of this honour and pay tribute to all the participants involved, producing a powerful, moving and authentic Scottish sound of worship. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound!”

The song video will premiere to the public this Friday, June 11th at 8pm UK / 2pm CST here on YouTube.

Subsequently the single will be available for download on various music platforms, with proceeds going towards the work of Bethany Christian Trust. Donations can also be made online via our donations page.
