PA to Chief Executive

In this newly created post your remit will be to provide excellent support the Chief Executive so that he can take forward the expansion of our vital work with homeless and vulnerable people in Scotland.

You will be able to work independently with initiative and professionalism and use your wide range of administrative and organisational skills. Responsibilities include researching and collating information, dealing effectively with callers, and organising key meetings. You will have a strong commitment to our ethos and values. Ideally the 20 hours per week will be worked over a 5 day/week pattern.

Care Shelter Manager

Salary: £28,397

The Night Care-shelter runs through the winter months providing a vital service for rough sleepers in Edinburgh and across Scotland. At the Care shelter, homeless people can come for a hot meal, a safe place to spend the night and have the opportunity to access further support.

As the Manager, you will oversee and co-ordinate the organisation of the shelter while providing line management support for 7 temporary staff who work constant night shift (one week off one week on basis).  Proven management experience is essential coupled with experience and understanding of the service user group.  Excellent people and co-ordination skills with experience of partnership working with other organisations are essential.  Some flexibility in working hours is required.

Involved in the day-to-day running of the unit and supporting service users towards independent living.  Experience and knowledge of our service user group and the issues surrounding them is essential. SVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent is desirable coupled with experience in a Residential/Housing support setting.
