DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - Internal Secondment Oppurtunity Edinburgh

As part of Bethany’s exciting programme of development and growth, supported by Scottish Government funding, you will support the Chief Executive in researching and building relationships with potential key stakeholders in targeted local authority areas. You will work to develop these relationships to enable Bethany to set up housing support services, volunteer-led services in the community and income-generating projects in those areas.

You will have the ability to form, build and maintain relationships with a wide range of individuals, and influence these people. Your research and communication skills will be your major strengths. You will be able to present clearly and credibly on Bethany’s work to widely differing internal and external audiences, from contract-awarding local government officers to congregations and individuals wishing to volunteer their time and talents. You must be able to plan your work effectively, work under pressure and with minimal supervision. You will be able to respond flexibly to changing priorities and unplanned opportunities. You will be required to travel and work away from home for several days at a time. You must have a full UK driving licence.

This post is available, on secondment, for a fixed-term of no more than 3 years. The secondment will be subject to formal review after 6 months.

The salary will normally be to spine points 33 to 36, or a 2 point advancement for someone already on spine points 35 or 36.
