Care Van

The Care Van, operated in co-operation with Edinburgh City Mission provides soup, rolls, clothing, support and advice to between 30 and 60 people who are homeless in Edinburgh city centre every night.

Every night, the Carevan can be seen on the streets of Edinburgh, staffed by a team from one of over 30 different churches who get involved and help to make a difference to the lives of those who have no hope, and no place to stay.

New Care Van Launched!

We are delighted to finally see the new Care Van on the road. After many months of hard work by the Steering Group, the new van was ready for service on 31st August 2009. Particular thanks must go to Ross Whailin who manages the vehicles in Bethany as well as Scott Innes of K & I Ltd who made all the vehicle modifications. There was a dedication event on 27th August to celebrate and commission the new van. Rev Tom Lawson from Charlotte Chapel spoke and dedicated the van to the glory of God and the service of the vulnerable and homeless on the streets of Central Edinburgh. So far, feedback from the church teams has been very positive.
